UPLOADING IMAGES

To upload an image you need a digital image file (like the image taken by your digital camera or mobile phone), .jpg format is best. You can upload the image file from your computer hard drive or from the SD card of your camera etc, if you have a card reader slot on your computer. Otherwise get someone to email you the image.

You may need to reduce the file size of the image to upload it. The maximum image size allowed is 500 pixels x 500 pixels to enable the image to show on the page. To reduce the image size, open the image in Micosoft Office Picture Manager. where you can crop the image as well as reduce the file size and the image size.

Image file sizes function much better on the internet in small sizes for fast loading and in appropriate dimensions to suit the page space.

First right click on the image file name and then in the dropdown box select  "Open With" and then  "Micosoft Office Picture Manager "

In Micosoft Office Picture Manager you can then select "Edit Pictures" then after you crop it go to "Resize" and then "Predefined Width x Height" and select  "Web - Small (448 x 336px)"

Save the file to your hard drive using a different name then log-in and upload the new image file. Easy?
