2011 CHRISTMAS LIGHTS COMPETITION DETAILSThe Santas Warehouse Christmas Lights competition is on again this Christmas for people who like to decorate their homes with Christmas lighting. For the Most Impressive Display ( an independently judged competition) the Competition offers a Grand prize of $1,000 worth retail value, of Christmas lighting and Christmas decorations from Santa's Warehouse of Warners Bay NSW, with no entry fees.
Our secondary Competition provides for an online Voted winner and a Lucky Draw prize. So Christmas lighting displays of any calibre will have a chance for a good prize. The Lucky Draw prize & Online Voting Prize will each be $200 retail value worth of Christmas Lighting and decorations from Santa's Warehouse.
Christmas lighting enthusiasts that enter our Most Impressive Display Competition will be optionally listed on the Christmas lights Competition Participants page of Santa's Warehouse website, so that their homes can be found and visited or voted on by the public. They will also have our official sign to erect (required for judging) to show they are entered in the competition and indicate to community visitors where they can; get more information, enter themselves, or find other homes to view.
The Main Competition is restricted to the central suburbs of Newcastle & Lake Macquarie NSW (See Map). However our online submission accepts listing from any home in other categories which can be voted on by the public although they wont be eligible for prizes.
The Christmas Lights Competition supports fundraising for charity, currently the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Santa's Warehouse have pledged part of the sales price of every outdoor light sold during the competition from our annual warehouse Open to the Public Clearance Sale and entrants are encouraged to sell a book of Charity Christmas Raffle tickets or collect donations in the Official Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service tins to help us support them.
